Part 2 of my poetry book has now been published on Amazon.  I really do appreciate you coming to read my blog.  This is my first step to being able to make a living by doing the things I want to do, one of which is writing.  I am deeply thankful for any support you give.  Each book is only $0.99.  If you like it then share it with friends and family.  If you have criticisms I am happy to hear them.  Either way leave a comment or send me a message.

I have now published my first book on Amazon available for the Kindle.  It’s called A Book of Songs and is part 1 in a 2 part series of poetry.

I am very excited to be able to self publish my first book of poetry.  I was intimidated by the whole process of going through a publisher and agents but then I discovered the story of Amanda Hocking and discovered that I could just put my work out there on my own.  Even if you don’t have a kindle you can still read it using the free Kindle app.

I would love to hear any comments you have.  I appreciate any support you give.

I AM A GOD

I feel warm

singing praises of myself

celebrating when I was born

delusions of grandeur

I am a king

my path is one of greatness

I will change the world

my name will be immortalized in history

they will cheer for me

and my rule will be filled with peace

tired, I don’t get up

angry, I burn myself

happy, I lose myself

peaceful, I forget myself

behind everything, there’s nothing to say

all the shouting, I’m going deaf

people complaining over everything

a world obsessed with getting what they want

exactly how they want it

and if not they can’t handle it

they are weak

I am strong

because I know I am nothing

voices that call me

sensations in my body pull me

this body moves to the beat

of something….

A New Beginning: Writing Again

My First Book

Hello Everyone,

I recently challenged myself to come up with a book of raps in under an hour and here it is: One Hour Rap.  It was just an artistic move I decided to make.  To see what a book of poetry in an hour would look like.  It’s not smooth at times and a better flow could have been used in places but I didn’t want to edit it too much.  I wanted it to be raw.

Death List

I wrote a list of all the things I want to do before I die.  Yesterday I found the list under my bed and read it again:

I forgot what I remembered

just come home
and I’ll forget you ever left
how I wish I could replay
those memories of your very first steps
when we walked together
and talked together
stayed up all night and had sex forever
why do you keep these distances
when your standing right by my side
why do you turn the other cheek
when you know you don’t have to hide
you know I never made you hold anything back
whoever you are I just wanna welcome you back
so how long will you go saying everything’s fine
and then sleep all day waking up past nine
and tell me you’re going out for a drive
I don’t know who else is in your life
or if paranoia is on my mind
I thought things were always open with a wife
just because you don’t wear a ring doesn’t make it right
you know what you hold in your hand
you can’t say it’s not your fault if you don’t give it back
maybe you’re punishing me, taking a stand
but I never did anything to you that’s what makes it hard to swallow
in the pit of my stomach I can’t take it that’s why I search for new things to follow
maybe in a past life I caused someone so much sorrow
God forgive me if I caused someone else to suffer
but why does she hide herself and run away from her lover
if there’s another
I would forgive her
and if she didn’t want forgiveness
I would bless her
and if she just lost all love for me
then I would leave her
but you can’t say that I don’t care
when the only reason I’m still here
is because I can’t handle everything out there
I want to do everything with you there
so when I laugh I can look at you there
and we can smile together
and we can cry together
even if we die together
or maybe these are just childish dreams
of things I saw on the movie screen
but it’s how I feel and I hope you see
that I’m not going anywhere unless you want me to leave

from afar?
looking down from space
you can’t tell the difference
they’re all the same place
and the nights are always warm
the sun keeps me from harm
watching over the world
as it sleeps
always listening for a cry
or screams of defeat
